Here Paul is putting hind shoes on Baron, Ashlee's friend Taylor who keeps her horse at our house. Taylor'smom (my friend) Nicolle is holding Baron!!
We were in the barn getting the horses feet done from 9am-12:00, we then hooked up our horse trailer to Nicolle's Suburban and brought it in for safety and service checks to make sure all is well for the upcoming show season, which starts May10th at the Silver Buckle Arena!! Ashlee & Taylor are VERY excited. But due to the "winter weather" we are having, Ashlee & Taylor have not had as much riding time as in previous years, so they will really have to work the next two weeks to get their horses in "show shape"!!
The rest of the day I hustled around and did my mundane household chores, laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping and picked up the kids. I did make a Martha Stewart's ham, which used to be Alex's fave, and Mike stopped and picked up the supplies necessary to turn the left over ham, which there was alot into split pea soup for tomorrow, so he has that cooking as I am blogging!
That means less mundane chores for me tomorrow!! YEAH!
I also talked to my sister Sue and Kari. Sue is doing better, but still tired from her chemo. She will not go in for more chemo (new stuff) until May 7th. It is supposed to be more gentle on her body and more cancer specific. They could not give this to her until her blood levels were normal, or almost normal. She also has to go in and have her heart checked, which is standard after treatments of the chemo she received. Please pray for her levels, especially red blood cells to be up to par and that her heart test goes well! She is doing so much better and heading in the right direction! Towards good health! Frankly, SUe has amazed me. She has faced things she has feared her whole life, with not an ounce of "why me". She has been courageous, and positive and I love her so much!!
SO tomorrow, I guess we'll see. But it is my hope no more of the white stuff, bring on spring!!

Well don't think your the only one that has to deal with the cold Kaylee. It was 53 this morning in Houston burr although it did get to 78 this afternoon. I am so excited that you are blogging the Walstad family as that for sure is the only way a Grandpa can keep up with all of you. Take care blees you all.
