Happy MayDay!!

"Flowers for you, is what he said as he came through the door yesterday afternoon" and surprised me COMPLETELY!

Mike does not give me flowers as a rule, and never when he should (Holidays like Valentine's Day...), the handful of times have been random, and he picked a great day, yesterday! I want to dedicate my blog today to the best husband in the world! My husband!

He is not perfect and he has his flaws (a view of the world that tends to be negative to my positive one for example!) but he has been a rock for me and so caring and giving while I have had my life turned upside down through my sister's battle with cancer and regaining control of her health and life. He has stood beside me, held me up when I needed it, he has cried with me, laughed with me, found ways to make me smile, when I did not feel like it, he has cooked me dinner and breakfast, taken the kids to school and let me sleep in a few mornings when I hadn't slept all night, he has flown first me, and then our whole family to TX three times in 6 weeks just to be with Sue and help her and visit with her. He has been VERY supportive and loving at a time in my life when I needed his love more than anything!! Hats off to you Mike!! I am the most blessed girl in the world to have you in my life!

I have been busy with the mundane tasks of life, grocery shopping, house cleaning, dinner making, taxi to my kids, but I am so thankful for the "mundaneness" and the ability to do those tasks. I love life, and more specifically my life, my husband, kids, my extended family of parents, sisters, brother-in-law, and Mike's family.

We had Mike's mom and dad, Pat and Tom over for Mike's fab split pea soup on Tues night, and then Wed night Mike and ALex golfed while Ashlee and I met for dinner with the Sellers' chicks to go over our horse show schedule and plans. FIrst show is next weekend on mother's day, May 11 in Hamel. Ash is quite excited as it is one of her fave judges!! Today I met my friend Theresa Reiersen for lunch at SUnsets and had my fave tortellini for lunch and then the Horse vets from the U of MN come at 3pm for shots and shockwaving on Taylor Sellers horse. Ashlee's horse Clem gets a joint injection of Legend. Then Alex has guitar lessons from 4:30-5:30 and then we're off to find gifts for the Saba boys!! Mike has his golf league tonight, so it is always something and always busy!! I have a picture waiting for me to pick up in Maple Grove for my dining room and I need to go get it, maybe tonight also!! I also need to buy two lamps for my sofa table and little something else...I am behind, but I haven't felt like doing it!!

I am excited for tomorrow as my horse trailer is ready to be picked up from its safety check, my new cocktail table is being delivered and I will have a pic of it for you tomorrow!! SO you can see, a bunch of details but a life that is being lived and enjoyed!! I hope you are also thankful for each day you can draw a breath and live the "mundaneness"!!!!I know I am!

XOXO Kaylee

Yay, a blog update! I just love reading these things. Looking forward to seeing you guys Sat, and checking out your table and pic. What nice stuff you wrote about Mike. I happen to think he's pretty awesome, too, but I am a little biased! : )

Love you,
KT
